The Studio — Paris
About
A monochrome atelier for fashion & portrait photography.
Born in the
shadows of Paris
Studio Corvus began with a simple refusal: to let colour do the talking. From a light-flooded atelier overlooking the rooftops of Paris, we built a practice around one uncompromising language — the full tonal range from deepest black to clean white, and every grey in between.
What started as a personal obsession with high-contrast film became a signature. Today the studio works with designers, magazines, agencies and individuals who want their image stripped to its essence: form, light, character.
We don't add light. We sculpt with it.
Every shoot is composed like an editorial spread — deliberate, dramatic, and built on contrast. We chase the texture of fabric, the architecture of a silhouette, and the quiet intensity of a held gaze. Without colour to lean on, nothing is decorative; every shadow is a decision, every highlight earns its place in the frame.
Our Ethos
Monochrome Only
Black, white and grey — no exceptions. A discipline that forces the image to stand on its bones.
High Contrast
Bold light, deep shadow, sharp definition. Drama is not an accident here — it's the point.
Character First
Whether couture or a single face, we frame the person and the presence — never just the surface.
Discipline 01
Fashion
Campaigns, lookbooks and editorials that treat clothing as sculpture — movement, structure and silhouette rendered in stark monochrome.
Discipline 02
Portrait
Faces shot in chiaroscuro — composed, intense, unguarded. A single light source and a single gaze, holding the whole frame.

In

See the work, or tell us what you have in mind. Either way, we'll frame it in monochrome.
